The multichannel agency supporting the team of Detlef Arnold, Reinhard Crasemann and Lasse Matthiesen received the award for their campaign for DIGITALES DURLACH. Developed in cooperation with the Stuttgart Media University, the project was created under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Jürgen Seitz for the client Gelbe Seiten Marketing.
With DIGITALES DURLACH, the agency conceptualized a unique pilot project in the inner-city of Karlsruhe. As part of an extended-store-hours weekend, customers in the immediate area had the chance to receive special offers and surprises through push notifications to their smartphone for the first time. This enabled location-based services made available through the Gelbe Seiten app. 1,600 participants and 850 transactions in the short campaign timeframe attested to the sweeping success of the DIGITALES DURLACH campaign.
“DIGITALES DURLACH demonstrates the added value of location-based services (LBS) and how local retailers and service providers can benefit from continuing digitalization. To take full advantage of the potential of LBS in the future, we must get more users excited about it. With over three million downloads, the app by Gelbe Seiten is offering an ideal, broad user base”, according to Lasse Matthiesen.
